TiE Young Entrepreneurs at a Glance

TiE Young Entrepreneurs (TYE) is a Global Program fostering future generations of entrepreneurs by teaching high school students the rewards and challenges of becoming an entrepreneur. TYE is an Entrepreneurship Academy, where student teams utilize modern skills and tools to build a concept using customer feedback, iteration, and lightweight business models. TYE is designed to teach high school students entrepreneurship and leadership skills.

TYE (TiE Young entrepreneurs) integrates classroom sessions, mentoring and a Startup competition aimed at High School students (grades 9-12 or equivalent). Teams compete at the chapter level and winners of those competitions have the opportunity to compete at TYE Global Finals for cash prizes and recognition.

Join our online Info Session on Sept 28!

Course Work

Participants will pitch ideas, form teams and solve real-life problems. By leveraging the experiential learning environment created by building a company, participants grow their professional competencies while also taking an idea and creating a viable startup. The finalized curriculum and dates for each cycle is announced at the beginning of the program year.

Sessions are lead by serial entrepreneurs, thought leaders and senior management of Fortune 500 companies!

Guest Speakers

To supplement our workshops and to inspire the rising entrepreneurs in our program, we invite a number of founders to speak on the challenges and triumphs of founding a company!

Mentors

Participants are encouraged to reach out to all workshop leaders and guest speakers to support their individual development and the growth of their startup. Along with these individuals, each startup is paired with a mentor who works with the team to get ready for the final competition.

Mentors are selected and paired based on the business model and needs of the team. Our mentors are incredible people who not only understand all the components of building a startup, they also care about creating a supportive learning environment for young people!

Silicon Valley Competition

At the end of each program cycle, the teams pitch their startup ideas in front of a panel of judges.

The 1st Place winning team from Silicon Valley is invited to compete at the TYE Global Competition held each summer!
